A single <img> tag is all it takes. No script to include, no iframe to host, immune to your site's CSP — works directly in Markdown, Notion, newsletters and email signatures.
For the top of an article, next to a data table, or in a README header. One line tall, says exactly one thing: where it is now, and which way it moved this week.
Dark-background sites: append -dark — badge/ncsx-composite-dark.svg. The badge below is the dark variant, shown on a dark swatch.
Adds a 90-day mini chart and the 30-day change. For the front page of a report, investor updates, or the top of a weekly — one image covering "where we are + which way we're heading".
Same pattern for HY and IG: badge/ncsx-hy-card.svg, badge/ncsx-ig-card.svg (add -dark for dark).
Swap the domain below for your own deployment if you mirror it. Everything points at one static file — no parameters, no API key.
One rule only: ncsx-{tier}{-card}{-dark}.svg.
| File | Size | Contents | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| ncsx-composite.svg | 320×86 | Level + 5-day change + as-of | Article opener, next to tables, READMEs |
| ncsx-hy.svg / ncsx-ig.svg | 320×86 | Same, per tier | Tier-specific discussion (HY / IG) |
| ncsx-composite-card.svg | 480×200 | Level + 5D/30D + 90-day trend | Report front pages, weeklies, investor updates |
| …-dark.svg | Same size | Dark-background palette | Dark-theme sites / night reading |

An embedded JS widget gets blocked by the host site's CSP, caught by ad blockers, and dies inside email clients. A plain <img> survives all three.
We don't count who embeds what, where, or how often it's viewed. Your page gains no third-party request, and we learn nothing about your visitors.
The as-of date is printed on the badge itself, so caching is a non-issue — readers can see at a glance which day the data is from; stale never masquerades as fresh.
This is the attribution requirement of the licence (CC BY 4.0) — and the precondition for anyone else being able to check your numbers.
Breaching any of the above terminates the licence automatically. Full terms in Methodology §12.
Badges and pages give you the free T+1 aggregates. The full 90-day daily series, print-level trades and whole-pool attribution live in the JSON API; agents can call the MCP per request.
